Indian River

Most of NuDesigns clients come through referrals and repeat business, and this home was no exception.  We completed a renovation for this client at their home in the Bay Hill area a few years prior and when they purchased a river home, they wanted similar spaces at their vacation home that they had come to love so much in their main home.  The homes biggest asset was the land it was sitting on, but it was clearly not designed to take advantage of the gorgeous waterfront it was sitting on with a single set of doors along the rear of the home to attempt to see the water through and several interior walls blocking your view.

NuDesign worked with the client to open the entire rear of the home and create an open and light plan that provided relaxed living spaces and maximized the views from all areas of the home.  A fourteen foot opening was cut into the concrete block in the rear of the home and filled with impact rated glass doors to allow wide open views to the water.  Impact windows, a new roof, a new stucco exterior, sprinkler system and a new dock will contribute to low maintenance for the family.  A screened in outdoor living room complete with TV, stereo and ceiling fans and recessed lighting was added on the rear of the home to allow the family to enjoy the outdoors no matter what mother nature decides to throw at them.  The entire interior of the home was updated with new bathrooms, kitchen, hardwood floors, granite countertops, extensive trim work and new lighting and painting.  The family loves their new river home and spends most of their weekends fishing and relaxing with their children in their beautifully appointed vacation home.
