Brad Fess
Brad Fess is an Orlando native and a graduate from Edgewater High School. Brad studied Business Management at the University of Central Florida and entered the workforce with a remarkable career in sales. While in high school, Brad tapped into his entrepreneurial calling by forming a successful automobile detailing business, which in 2000, became, ‘Two Guys and a Bucket’. Two Guys and a Bucket served large construction companies, several office buildings and one of Central Florida’s largest employers with some of the largest transportation vehicles around. In 2005, with the housing market at its prime, Brad collaborated with Don Evans, founder of ‘The Evans Group’, to create ‘DesignCrafters, LLC’ while receiving his contracting license. Over the course of 2 years, he led DesignCrafters by completing several new builds and renovations in Central Florida, including an award winning renovation in downtown Orlando. Brad is a multiple Aurora Award winner and has been selected as a Top 40 Under 40 by the Orlando Business Journal, Professional Builders and 2013 Professional Remodeler magazines. With an appreciation for the challenges of the business and armed with first-hand knowledge of what it takes to succeed in this industry, Brad formed his own construction company, NuDesign Builders Inc. Since its inception in 2007, NuDesign Builders has completed numerous renovations and builds all over Central Florida for both residential and commercial clients. Brad is proud of his word-of-mouth advertising and believes that the relationship formed with each customer is the true foundation to completing a project to perfection. Brad is an avid outdoorsman and waterman, that loves traveling, Gator football, BBQ and competing in triathlons. He is a resident of Maitland, and enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Tony Kurtz
Danny Vaughn
Danny Vaughn brings an extensive design portfolio to the architectural department with over 14 years of experience ranging from residential builder series homes to 27,000 SF custom homes. Danny has lead design teams, overseen architecture for some of America’s top builders and enjoys the creative challenges that come with the design process. In addition to collaborating with Kimberly through the design stages with clients, Danny also oversees the production of the construction documents for all projects that come out of design, coordinates structural documents and other trades to ensure projects are ready for permitting.
Born and raised in Orlando, Danny, at an early age expressed a desire to be in the field of architecture designing his first house at the age of twelve for a sixth grade art project. He enjoys working with a dedicated, creative and passionate design and construction team that strives toward achieving excellence with each project. Danny lives near downtown Orlando with his wife and has two children, He enjoys the Florida beaches, basketball (Orlando magic fan since 1989) and listening to live music.
Jackie Lloyd
Jackie Lloyd is the Office Administrator for NuDesign Builders. She is the friendly face you see or voice you hear when you contact our office. Jackie handles all the day-to-day operations including accounts receivable/payable, building permits, document preparation and vendor administration for our non-stop office. As a child, she lived in many cities due to her father’s career as a DEA Agent. Jackie is Mom to 2 hilarious and fantastic children and when she is not spending time with family and friends, she loves to people watch, read and go to the movies.
Commercial Division
Brad Landon
Project Manager and Vice President of Nu Design’s Commercial Division brings over 30 years of construction industry experience in the Central Florida area to his clients. His resume of completed projects includes commercial interior renovations and tenant improvements, most recently work for the Transportation Security Administration, Staples, Sunbelt Rentals and Proctor & Gamble. His projects range from typical office build-out to warehouse and medical space. Brad is known for his success in project management due to his comprehensive skills in estimation and tenant improvement administration. He is committed to superior customer service and solid client relations as he promptly responds to needs and inquiries to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Brad grew up in Ohio and follows everything Ohio State. He enjoys working on home improvements and spending time with his wife at their cottage.
Steve Gast
Steve Gast has a vast array of construction experience spanning over 40 years which includes lathing, drywall, acoustical ceiling and several machinery certifications. As Field Superintendent, Steve coordinates all field aspects of the project with subcontractors, suppliers and inspectors. Steve has strong problem solving and decision making skills and the ability to implement effective action plans. Successful project completion is ensured as Steve daily communicates with the project manager. We are thankful for Steve’s three years of service in the United States Army which included time in West Germany during the Munich Olympics terrorist attack. Steve’s hobbies include horses, computers & software, photography and skin diving.
John Cutcher
John Cutcher is a Florida native with over 50 years of construction related experience. He entered the construction field at a young age becoming an accomplished carpenter and now serves as one of the Commercial Superintendents. Having overseen hundreds of projects from start to successful completion, Johnny is known for getting things done. Johnny’s success comes from his ability to work effectively in the field as he actively monitors all project progress and his reliability ensures that they are completed on time. Johnny and his wife, Donna, have been married for 53 years and have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Besides enjoying family time, Johnny is an avid NASCAR fan and follows NFL football.
Jones Baron
Jones Baron was born in the Caribbean moving to the United States as an adult and spent many years in the hotel industry before these last 20+ years in construction. He has an AA degree in Building Construction from Valencia Community College as well as a BS from DeVry University in Small Business Management. Jonsie is Nu Design’s Commercial Assistant Superintendent and is known for his dependability, good attitude and conscientious personality. Jonsie is a valued team player who works hard to complete job tasks according to schedule. When he is not found working on projects around the house, Jonsie enjoys spending family time with his wife and 5 children.
Beth Landon
Beth Landon is the Administrative Assistant for the Commercial Division. Several years ago she joined her husband Brad in the construction field after 25 years of teaching and education related positions. Beth is responsible for all aspects of the Commercial Division’s project paperwork, coordinating administrative needs and supporting the project manager and field personnel. She is always available to assist and quick to respond to the needs of vendors, subcontractors and clients as well. Beth loves hosting gatherings for family and friends, including two sons and two grandsons and in her spare time is involved in many church activities and ministries.
